Meet Richard Turere, a 13-year old Kenyan that is really, really smart. With a lot of ingenuity and the will to solve a problem, he found a very simple solution to keep lions away from his fathers' cattle.

In Mozambique we have also found bright young people coming up with creative solutions to everyday challenges, looking for ways to do things better, and finding smart, simple answers that were a win-win for everyone. Often, we also found that they were not heard, their opinions not valued, their contributions discounted, their efforts not recognized. I'm posting this to recognize them. And in the hope that this situation will soon change...
